Eclectic Mediterranean Interior Design
In Fort Lauderdale

Architectural Foundation: South Florida Mediterranean Revival

This residence belongs to a well-traveled and design-savvy couple who immediately understood my philosophy. Upon our first introduction, the husband smiled and quoted a line from my website: “Life is too short for an all-beige room.” That moment set the tone for a project defined by bold layering, architectural character, and unapologetic individuality.

Architectural Influence & Regional Context

The result is a Traditional Eclectic home enriched with Mediterranean influence is where classical symmetry meets curated global references. My design approach naturally blends prints, patterns, and texture with architectural structure. Elements of Traditional interior design, Mediterranean Revival detailing, British Colonial accents, Tropical Bahamas warmth, Coastal references, and restrained Modern lines are thoughtfully integrated into a cohesive whole.

Mediterranean Revival Kitchen Remodel

Custom Cabinetry & Old World Craftsmanship

The kitchen remodel was inspired by the South Florida Mediterranean Revival architecture where European precedent meets tropical light and scale. Glazed raised-panel cabinetry introduces classical formality, while built up crown molding, the post and fluted columns all reference traditional kitchen design.

The custom hood and rustic glazed tiles evokes the handcrafted detailing characteristic of 1920s Mediterranean Revival residences, while richly veined granite countertops provide weight and permanence.

Coffered Ceiling & Structural Elevation

To reinforce architectural authenticity, the ceiling was elevated to accommodate a traditional coffered design. The added height enhances volume and air circulation essential in South Florida homes while the coffers introduce depth, shadow, and structural rhythm.

The result is a kitchen that feels historically grounded, regionally appropriate, and architecturally integrated rather than merely decorative.

Mediterranean Bedroom Interior Design and Home Remodel -

The Mediterranean inspired primary bedroom exemplifies this layered philosophy. Architectural detailing includes a softly illuminated cove ceiling, four classical columns with applied molding, and custom-framed mirrors positioned over the nightstands. Floating Murano glass sconces echo the chandelier above, creating vertical rhythm and refined symmetry. The effect is romantic yet structured, ornate yet disciplined.

This is Eclectic Mediterranean design at its most sophisticated: layered, architectural, and deeply personal.
