“Day in the life of an Interior Designer”
Brought to you by
Marcus Mars Interiors and Home Remodeling

Welcome to my blog, "A Day in the Life of an Interior Designer."

Navigate through the various sections, including "Working with an Interior Designer," where we delve into the intricate relationships among architects, custom home builders, and interior designers. Explore blogs highlighting past and ongoing projects, uncovering the inspiration derived from both architectural elements and, importantly, the unique preferences of my clients.

I believe great design is a product created from the relationship between
the Client and the Designer.

Discover my blogs showcasing interior design inspirations from exquisite estate homes and captivating movie set designs.

As a native Floridian, my initial architectural passion centered around the Spanish Mediterranean Revival, pioneered by Addison Mizner. Growing up, visits to James Deering's Vizcaya estate instilled an appreciation for the Tuscan Italian Renaissance style with Baroque elements, as featured in the blog "Design Inspirations."

Frequent trips to Key West and living at Ocean Reef Club, Key Largo, immersed me in the tropical influences of British Colonial Bahamas and the vibrant Caribbean.

I particularly enjoy crafting vacation homes for clients, allowing for artistic and colorful expressions beyond conventional boundaries. One recent project involved transforming a stark contemporary house into a warm Zen Balinese contemporary vacation home—details in the blog below.

If you have a particular architectural or interior design style in mind for your home, I trust that my blogs will serve as a source of inspiration.
