My 10 Strategies for Interior Design

  1. Initial Client Interview:

I begin with an in-depth interview to understand my clients’ preferences, lifestyle, and personal tastes. We discuss favorite colors, textures, patterns, and design inspirations to uncover their unique vision.

  2. Incorporating Personal Items:

Personal belongings such as art collections, heirlooms, travel souvenirs, and family photos often serve as a design foundation. Integrating these meaningful pieces creates interiors that feel authentic and uniquely personal.

  3. Lifestyle Analysis:

I consider my clients’ daily routines, hobbies, and activities to design spaces that are not only beautiful but also functional and supportive of their lifestyle.

  4. Color Preferences:

    • Whether a client gravitates toward bold, vibrant hues or prefers a more subdued palette, I use their color preferences as a guiding framework for the overall design.

  5. Artistic Influences:

    • I explore a client’s artistic sensibilities by discussing favorite artists, styles, or movements. This helps guide artwork selections and infuses the design with a creative, curated feel.

  6. Architectural Integration:

    • I take inspiration from the home’s architectural style, whether Modern, Mediterranean, Tropical, or Eclectic I will enhance its existing features so the design feels naturally connected to the space. This thoughtful integration not only creates a sense of harmony and flow but also results in interiors that feel timeless, authentic, and add lasting value to your home.

  7. Cultural Considerations:

    • When relevant, I incorporate aspects of my clients’ cultural heritage. This adds depth, authenticity, and personal meaning to the final design.

  8. Collaborative Design Process:

    • I view the design process as a partnership and actively involve clients throughout the design journey, encouraging feedback and dialogue. This ensures the final outcome reflects their vision and personality.

  9. Visual Presentation Boards:

    • As needed, I will prepare presentation boards (see link) or a visual presentations to illustrate design concepts. These tools give clients a clear, tangible sense of how colors, textures, furnishings, and architectural details will harmonize within their space.

  10. Flexibility and Adaptability:

    • I remain flexible throughout the process, making adjustments based on client feedback or evolving preferences to ensure the design aligns with their ultimate vision.

Designer & Architect Collaboration

When the interior designer and architect work together from the very beginning, your home benefits from both beauty and function. Early planning ensures that walls, windows, lighting, and doors are thoughtfully placed—not only to enhance the architecture but also to create interiors that feel harmonious, practical, and tailored to your lifestyle.
