“Coastal Beach Vacation Home”
at Ocean Reef Club, Key Largo 33040
Welcome to my client’s Coastal Beach Vacation Home
nestled within Ocean Reef Club, Key Largo.
With a deep-rooted connection to Fort Lauderdale and years of sharing my family's vacation homes at Ocean Reef Club and Boca Grande, I have cultivated a profound appreciation for the tropical lifestyle.
My signature Tropical decor is a homage to South Florida's classic coastal style, drawing inspiration from the ocean and lush landscapes. Vibrant printed fabrics in shades of oceanic blues, Red Corals, and Palm Tree Greens define my aesthetic. Whether you prefer Bahamas Decor, British Colonial Beach House Style, or Modern Coastal vibes, my interior decor embodies the essence of Florida Tropical interior design.
As an Interior Designer at Ocean Reef Club, I take pride in infusing my clients' vacation homes with a sense of adventure and luxury, creating an ambiance that reflects the relaxed yet refined lifestyle of this exclusive community. Our Coastal Beach Vacation Home epitomizes the ideal family retreat, blending comfort with timeless elegance against a backdrop of tropical tranquility.

After completing my client's full home remodel and interior design, she expressed such delight that she jokingly wished there were more rooms to design. Little did she know, the universe unexpectedly granted her wish.
About three weeks later, she called me with unexpected news: her vacation condo at Ocean Reef Club had suffered a water leak, resulting in a flood throughout the home. This unexpected turn of events turned her wish into reality, presenting us with a new project: to create a small yet vibrant and tranquil retreat from the chaos.
Embracing this opportunity, we embarked on a journey to transform her condo into a colorful and relaxing oasis.

The vacation home once belonged to her parents, and she shared stories of her childhood at Ocean Reef Club. Her first priority is to continue that tradition with her children and grandchildren.
Architecturally I wanted to maximize the small space. So we removed the glass sliding doors, incorporated the enclosed patio into the living room, and built out the kitchen to allow a built-in refrigerator.
As for diner time and playing cards, we discarded the table for four and built a peninsula with extra storage and seating for eight. I love that we decided on Quartz countertops with the embedded sea-glass within the kitchen design and remodel.
For that Classic Beach House Style, I think the interior design must include the coastal feeling of Beadboard. Our crisp white beadboard has a modern coastal style as seen on the TV wall, framed over the sofa, on the kitchen's peninsula's wall, and painted a rich deep aqua on the kitchen ceiling.
The original patio had a mirror that reflected the ocean, and the husband loved this detail, so I incorporated it with the custom-framed mirrors over the end tables.
This living room decor can not get much more Beachy with its pale blue walls, white framed beadboard, driftwood console with shell rope accessory, coral red club chair with the Dingy Boat table on top of a coral bordered rug.
The picture to the left and above shows how I designed the drapery valance to balance and match the soffit on the room's left.
